Additional terms of use related to the holdings of the NEPAL-GERMAN MANUSCRIPT PRESERVATION PROJECT (NGMPP)

In contrast to the general Terms of service: Order of reproductions from public domain material the following restrictions apply to the holdings of the NGMPP:

1. Copies / Digitised items can be created/made/produced and used for research purposes. It is neither allowed to make further copies or to give copies to third persons/parties without explicit permission of the Oriental Department.

2. The edition of texts from the NGMPP holdings is only possible with the approval of the National Archives in Kathmandu (Nepal).

If you intend to publish the material in parts or completely, we kindly ask you to make a request to

3. After publication, we kindly ask you to provide specimen copies. Publication of an article: three specimen copies, Publication of a book: two specimen copies. We will then forward one of the specimen copies to Nepal. Please send the copies to Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin / Orientabteilung / Potsdamer Straße 33 / D-10785 Berlin.
